mgaa chapter 1 . 6/7/2016 I KNEW IT! I have a stupid grin on my face...and tears in my eyes...and a melody in my heart...still grinning |
Guest chapter 1 . 5/7/2016 I just couldn't resist reviewing this one. This was definitely a notch above the usual E-mail fics. I am really big on 'never forgive cheaters' but you have actually made me think from different perspective. This is beautifully creative, if you get me. To make the seemingly wrong be put into perspective takes challenge. And you did it. Amazingly. Keep writing. Please. Cheers! :) |
Guest chapter 1 . 3/25/2015 Oh god, that was beautifully done and the ending was shocking yet satisfying, thank you! |
mimster259 chapter 1 . 12/29/2013 I don't even know where to begin... Maybe I should start by saying that I have never read anything like it. It's not what I usually read, but after the first email, I couldn't stop reading. I feel like in the back of my head I figured that it was really him, but I didn't really want to believe that someone would do that...lie like that to protect his own hide and to continue talking to her. Seriously, I was blown away by this. You made me feel conflicted; sad but interested; confused but enlightened. Don't sell yourself short when I say fantastic job! I can FEEL the emotion put into this and it literally brings me to tears. Great job! |
DeathTheGirl chapter 1 . 6/12/2013 I had one thought when I finished reading this: This is one of the most creative pieces of writing I think I have ever read. Writing from all those different angles, and making it all flow and so original and such a amazing plot line, this piece of artwork has blown me away. Sorry if this seems sarcastic, I promise I'm not being. This really did blow me away. I can't think of another way to describe how I felt after reading this besides being blow away. This is a excellent creative piece you have here. Haha call me up if you ever write a book |
color outside the lines chapter 1 . 2/9/2013 Ha! I knew it! I freaking knew it! At first I thought it was a friend of his because he said that James does miss him. Then he talked about when he cheated and I was like, it's him, isn't it? I loved this! Oh, and I know how pretty Microsoft is! I have Pages and absolutely hate it! Anyway, I liked this. I fell asleep and them had to continue but more than anything, I liked it. :) |
Tauria chapter 1 . 9/21/2012 This is an excellent story. The ending made me laugh, and I am afraid that I guessed about halfway through that John was really James. I wish I could have read their meeting though. I think that it would have been funny, yet at the same time, totally gut wrenching emotional (did that sound right?). I don't review a lot on this site, but this was just so good I HAD to. I wish I could say more, but I am afraid that words fail me at this point. |
Guest chapter 1 . 8/8/2012 I thought it would be him! I'm sad that it's only a one-shot, I would love to know what happens when they meet :D But then that might ruin the charm and brilliance of it... like a bad sequel. When you love something, so you do more, but then it doesn't quite work. I would still love to read it though! I really like both your characters, even if I strongly disagree with cheating. People make mistakes though and you show so well the consequences that they can have. I hope she forgives him. Do you think she does? Does this story go on further in your head? If it does, and you ever feel compelled to, please share it with us! |
Mess.Of.Mine chapter 1 . 8/5/2012 This was fantastic! I had a feeling that it would be James about half way through; so glad I was right! I loved the use of the emails and how they provided an insight into both characters feelings, not just one. It was a lovely read, and the fact that you didn't have that reunion in there is refreshing; I love being able to imagine different scenarios about how their reunion ends. |
Dez chapter 1 . 8/2/2012 Oh. My. God. Wow. That totally blew my mind. Usually I cannot stand non-traditional story format. If I saw "to:" within the first two paragraphs, I would bolt. But this... Is addicting. I couldn't stop. I was mildly confused at first - why wouldn't she have the right email. It's her ex, for crying out loud. But I digress. You made an increasingly clichéd email format and created a story. And she reacted accordingly, given the circumstances. I couldn't stop reading. That was the best ending ever, btw. Totally realistic :) |
youngin-matomon chapter 1 . 7/28/2012 Haha. I love that ending. It was a very pretty oneshot, and I liked it. A bit ordinary, yes, but well written and heartfelt. I like it. |
Amy chapter 1 . 7/25/2012 Wow! That was great. |
shweta kadam chapter 1 . 7/21/2012 best story ever! I cried buckets reading it! |
fellintothemoon chapter 1 . 7/20/2012 Hello! This is Melissa from ADoR. Click Send has been added to our archive under the One-Shot section. Yay! Here's your review: Melissa Thinks: Click Send is just what it sounds like: a series of emails between two people. The one who initiated the contact, Katherine, was meant to be sending a heartfelt email to an ex lover, but accidentally sends it to the wrong email address. I don't want to give anything away, but you can probably imagine what happens next. G0bSmackt wrote this so wonderfully! Most of the time when you get an email based story, it's either boring or the characters are hard to tell apart, but Click Send is just the opposite. There is a lovely amount of flirting between the two characters, making their chemistry shine through. You really get the emotions that the John and Katherine are putting forth, giving you an insight into their personalities and inner feelings. It's light, it's fresh, it's all you could ask for in a one shot. |
dumpyfledgling chapter 1 . 7/20/2012 I love & hate this story. I love, love, love that you were able describe these complex characters & their relationship through a series of e-mails. I hate that I was stupid & read this at work because it made my tear up in my cubicle. |
