Okay, I get that ballan is trying to help Kimari get used to her situation but it doesn't seem realistic...I'm sure that Kimari will accept what he says for the sake of the story but as a reader I have to ask, why should we agree with his argument...why should someone as strong as Kimari accept his argument. esp. when:

1. he willingly gave up his freedom...so he doesn't really know how it feels to have it taken from u

2. He acts as if it is normal to have a guy take your virginity-by force- in the forest while in front of a group of men...hello! that is not okay...

3. Yeah she wasn't treated with respect in her own tribe but she always had her dignity and pride...knowing that they didn't break her...that they only made her stronger. Plus she always had the choice to leave.

I really wanted to see how this story would turn out...but if a person, especially a person as strong as Kimira, is going to be losing her basic human rights (habeus corpus) than Ballan- or someone- is going to have to provide a better reason for her to accept it, than her old clan wasn't nice to her so she should just accept her lack of freedom b/c the master - who so far hasn't done anything to earn her trust- wil give her pleasure and comfort.

Plus the part about the master already starting to have feelings for Kimari when he has only had her for one day...has only forced himself on her twice...seems unbelievable. I loved Commanders, so I assumed that I would love this one as well , but Kimaria is a different charater than Tywlla and is in a different situation...and so far everything seems very unbelievable.

Very very nicely done.

I am amazed at how well you portrayed all the angst, and at how well you brought it all together in the end. it takes a lot of effort. there was a lot of character development, which was awesome, and the plot was very real. there was nothing fake about any of the characters.
