Reviews for It's All Relative |

Chopz chapter 26 . 7/24/2011 I'm something of a lazy reviewer but this one definitely inspired some feedback from me. Tight prose, well-thought out plot and characterisation. I really wish there were more stories like this on FP. Thank you very much for sharing your talent! Oh and the chemistry between the poor misinformed protagonists was scorching :) I read this whole story in one sitting. Never stop writing, you rock. :) |
Carlotta Lynn chapter 27 . 7/15/2011 This story was so intense, all the back and forth. Heartwrenching. So glad they found a way to be together in the end, made me very happy! Thanks for sharing this! |
SpasticLittleGirl chapter 26 . 7/8/2011 So, I've only jsut realised that Kellan and Kai have something in common - both had fathers who weren't their biological fathers. I don;t know if that made sense...But it took me the whole story to figure it out, and I felt the need to point it out :) This story is AMAZING. Though I still like Thoughtless and Effortless better...there's something about Kellan that just beats Kai. Sorry Kai. Anyway, you're a wonderful writer :) I can't wait to read your other stories :) |
Lauren. C. Powell chapter 5 . 7/4/2011 Hey :) I'm loving this story so far, but the idea sort of reminds me of The Mortal Instruments ... But I love it, and I'm only on chapter 5 aha, it's really good so far, and I like how you put a twist on things, it's really good :) I hope he finds out soon so they can be together :) look forward to reading the reat of your story :) -Lauren :D xoxo |
Taciturne chapter 27 . 6/5/2011 Oh, goodness. This is also one of the stories where I'm all, "Where does she even get the ideas for these things?" and then I'm just like, "That's it. She's blessed. The writing gods have just blessed her like no other. She's doomed to be an accomplished writer." That being said, I don't exactly remember how I reacted to the "plot twist." I think I laughed and had a disgusted look on my face afterward. But hey, I thought, with passion like that it's probably not a relative. There are many things I liked about this story. The fact that you had a bit of a Shakespearean technique won out, though. Just giving the audience the knowledge of the truth, while letting the characters seek it out right in front of them, was very well done. Enough tension and angst was sewn into me that I always thought about the two confused characters. In truth, I ended up pushing aside the story for when you were finished posting all the chapters. It was too much (stress) for me to take piece by piece. I wanted to get it all in one sitting! I also want to commend you on your cast of characters for this story. A nice array of different personalities, motives, and mysteries to keep it interesting, but uncrowded. By the way, I need to offer another compliment: your choice of setting. All your stories aren't set in one place, and it's more exploratory and offers the reader a nice vacation in their head. And I like the interspersed and very realistic demographic. The Asian and hapa community isn't too recognized in writing. Anyway, I don't think I ever have anything bad to say about your stories, haha. They're just all-around good. -Taciturne |
Drips of Blue-Green Turpentine chapter 2 . 5/6/2011 Oh. I figured out that he wasn't related when you said to see himm. Just a note, you can't type numbers on my phone unless you open the key pad and even then you have to open up the touch screen to dial a number otherwise you search the web. Anyway good luck, good so far |
LocalYokel chapter 11 . 5/4/2011 you're so cruel! it's the 11th chapter! why are they still having pseudo-incestuous thoughts about each other! |
LocalYokel chapter 4 . 5/3/2011 OH GOD. STOP THE TORTURE. oh god i really hope they find out about their non-related-ness soon. this is killing me. |
LocalYokel chapter 2 . 5/2/2011 OH. MY. DEAR. LORD. the whole cousin thing just threw me off COMPLETELY. i just STARED at my computer screen for a bit. i almost stopped reading because i got so grossed out with the incestuousness of it all. SO glad i continued, as soon as millie and nathan said the stuff about telling the truth i was all *PHEW* this is BRILLIANTLY written, and kudos on the twist there. you had me truly shocked haha! also enjoyed the steamy scene in the previous chapter, it totally made me blush hahah! off to read some more... i'm obviously not going to be sleeping tonight. |
Anna-K chapter 20 . 4/26/2011 I love the story! I knew it was going to be some sort of familial connection between them because of the title and I kept reading in the hopes of there being some sort of mix up. I read with Pandora in the background; just how I get in my "me-time"...good music and good stories. At the beginning of chapter 20 - Truth Hurts, when Kai is waking up after telling Jessie he's going to move back the song "Everything you want" by Vertical Horizon came on...it was very fitting and set the mood. |
breathoflavender chapter 2 . 4/22/2011 OMGG. THANK GOD IT'S NOT INCEST. when i found out that they were cousins i was like :O . i was like thinking " sh*t is this an incest story!" HAHAHA. but so glad to know that it's not this case. but since they don;t know that they are not really blood related, this is going to get interesting! |
Hajaley chapter 26 . 4/13/2011 Another great story! So happy that in the end they both ended up together and what a relief it was when they found out they weren't related! Amazing story :D |
Natalie Ann chapter 21 . 2/24/2011 I'm so so so so so glad that they finally are able to be together without feeling terrible about it. They deserve it :) |
Natalie Ann chapter 20 . 2/24/2011 THANK GOD. I'm just so glad that he finally knows. |
Natalie Ann chapter 19 . 2/24/2011 ah that's about all I can say right now... |
