I really liked the sarcastic tone of this piece; it really sent out a message. I actually read this yesterday but I didn't have a chance to review. And then today, I got an email with a bunch of pictures of some soldiers' happy reunions. And I thought of this poem. I thought, these people can be HAPPY now, they can be FREE. But some people can't. Because, as you said, "The killing still goes on."

This reminds me of the Vietnam era draft dodgers who sneered: "What if they gave a war and nobody came?" My answer: "They would bring it to us. Remember Pearl Harbor." Now some of us remember September 11, 2001, even if you don't think it was worth a response.

Very blunt and straightforward. That's why i love it! It really gets you thinking and while i was redaing it it seemed to have a sarcastic air to it. I love it :)
