I loved this story, I can't believe you wouldn't want it in your book X) THANK YOU for sharing! I've read most of your stories here, and you are really talented person with lots of great ideas, and though your earlier works are great too I can see how your writing has improved and it's like so cool to be able to watch you grow like this. Oh, wow, loved the ending. and the story :P

but the ending is perfect as it is, I wouldn't add an epilogue, I think it would ruin it, and that's saying a lot from me, because I always want more, except now, it just fits perfectly.

i am in love.. with both of them.. but with the goatherd more. like, totally. haha, i know they'll never love me back and i'm super sad to see this finished. it was really a great story. short, sweet, and constantly tugging on my heartstrings. i'm just so happy right now, i could cry. lol. you never fail to amaze me xan, or any of your readers im sure. can't wait for whenever you put something else out. this was one out of two stories i've been reading and i'm a little bummed that i will have nothing else great wonderful and fantastic to read for a while.. in fact, i might go read this over and over again. haha. pathetic, i know :) but its all good with me.

These parts:

Remembering a past conversation, I stated, "Here I be…and there you be. But you'll be gone, and here I'll be."

His jaw clenched, face taut; "Is that what you want?"

"'Tis."

He breathed in, then out; "Then here I'll be."

I sat on the bed, anger draining away in defeat; "Why?"

Although he did nothing more than stare for a long time, I felt heat bleed across my skin until he finally admitted, "Always be waiting for you to come home."

-were absolutely adorable. i felt like i was gonna pull a muscle in my face from smile, and frowning at pip trying to be all hardheaded about it. but then the goatherd honestly said all the write things. and its all because of you :) lol, its hard to remember that these are just stories, not really people. and that's really a good thing.

also, its funny, but i don't really remember the goatherd's name anyways.. but i think it was John? i dont know. but to put an end to my great review (i'm not very modest, i know).. you're wonderful and this whole thing was amazing and totally completely wonderfully absolutely adorable. you shouldn't be modest either. haha :)

i absolutely loved it! You have a great talent for writing, and you can make any setting believable.

I also really loved the pace of the story- you managed to capture several years in six chapters, without it feeling as if you had left anything out at all!

The story may be short but the ending is sweet and that's what counts the most. This is definitely staying on my favourites list.

That was good. The end was a little fast, but I guess the whole thing was just made up of bits and pieces... I like how in your stories the characters don't talk about their feelings, they are just expressed otherwise...
