this reminded me of ernest hemingway's flash fiction "for sale: baby shoes, never worn" in that it's short but evokes so much emotion. i can't quite put my finger on what it is exactly, but there's just something in the way you combined earthquakes with the world ending and your heart breaking (that's how it really feels, doesn't it?). and at first, i thought the soundtrack line was surprising, but now it seems to fit.

I like the shortness of this piece, I just think it adds to it, though I couldn't say how. Anyway, wonderfully written.

I loved the ending. It gave such a clear, crisp feel to it that you could relate to. Short and sweet, it tells a bigger story with fewer words. Great work.
