Reviews for Stupefaction
purplehost chapter 1 . 2/5/2011
Holy hell, that was indeed disturbing. But I feel that's what makes this story so impressive. When writing something like this there's a fine line between making the main character's lack of emotion stand out and making the entire story seem hollow. You managed to make the character fully fleshed out and this had wonderful characterization. It left me wondering just what the purpose of these deaths are; giving the impressive that this boy thinks murder is an art form. And yet, it also seems that he learned something from their deaths. Ironically, he finds them to be bad people for not acknowledging God or for being against God, but murder itself is against the commandments. I'm not sure what the purpose of this kid's actions are, but this story left a big impression on me.
