Awesome concept, awesome story. I'd say it was a little fast-paced, but hell, it's s'posed to be a one-shot. I especially liked the gutter witch concept, and Miki is a sweetheart. A really fantastic read. )

I absolutely loved this story! The thing I like most is actually how you explained how a ghost can help the living. Also quite liked the small details like how Miki has shiny things in his belt and how jumpy Jule is. Thanks for a great read :)

This was such a special story to read. I liked the quirkyness of the supernatural factor and the closeness of the two main characters. This is one of the stories I want to go back to and reread.

Fantastic! I could easily read a book set in this universe. Did not see the twist coming. The boys are so sweet and I love the happy ending. Thank you, really enjoyed it.

I love all your work—like creepy stalker style— but this particular piece really blew me away. I think one of the things I really admire in your characters is the use of dialect to help shape their personalities, and in this story in particular (although in Just Drive the Car too) it works so well.

There were just so many lovely little parts to this. That Julin can weep for someone because no one else will one moment, and then throw their body back in the river to be eaten by crawfish because that is how things work—makes him both sensitive and pragmatic all at once— pure awesome. Thanks for posting such a beautiful piece on Halloween no less!
