This chapter kind of feels rushed. It's good, but I feel like Aislynn (if she has an ounce of common sense) would know to be more subtle in the finding of information.

Unless, of course, she's a rookie reporter. If that's the case, you should mention it sometime within the first two paragraphs.

I loved the sappy begining, really cute. Poor thing having to see a dead body. I love all the mystery though, great job!
