I loved this chapter! Reading about him as the Shival was very interesting. And hey it was the vampire horse. I can't wait to read the part after the party that we read about in "Broken Wing," Very curious what Izeri was think at that time.

I finally remembered what a Shival was! (thanks to this chapter, right? xD ) When I read the first two, I was like, what's a shival? It sounded familiar, but I just couldn't put my finger on it. I even google searched it!

Soo then, does this mean that Izeri was the shival/horse thing that went after the vampire horse to save Jak? Was that the shivals intention?

I was so excited when I saw this story. I'm re-reading Broken Wings but couldn't stop myself from reading this first chapter and I love it! I love the fact Izeri is more complicated than he seams in the first two chapters of Broken Wings... like the little comments about humans. So yeah, awesome story so far.

I do have a question, and I've actually wondered about it sense Broken Wings... What exactly to Fey wings look like. You describe them as ridges, are they like butterfly wings?
