I love that Estraya is so defensive of Kieron and trying to right the cruelty from other people toward him. If those people are so scared of him, and he is so mild and shy around them, I can't wait to see him truly act like a monster and scare the crap out of all those awful people. Love the bow and can't wait to see Estraya practice with it. I think Estraya may be part of this oracle that Kieron is trying to figure out, looking forward to seeing how that plays out.

I'm too lazy this evening to write a real critique, but I wanted to say that I like this chapter. Things seem to finally be moving forward and now at least, Estraya is no longer passive. Moreover I'm sure that since she's been seen in the city, they are going to be in trouble with her husband.

The chpter had a very light feel to it, u know like fluffy cotton clouds... it's refreshing after the intensity of the last chapters.

Estraya is my kind of woman. I love how she try's to protect Kiernon. She's really good with Lily too. Hopefully they have a while of happiness, before you set the bad guys on them. :)

Wow, that was a really good chapter... I've just got ONE tiny thing to say... rather ask... do you know how long an actual long bow is? It's called a long bow for a reason and, trust me, they're not very fun to carry around. You know those "long bows" that they make in massive amounts today are actually smaller versions, the traditional ones are really really taller, taller than the average man that used to fire them. And I know it's a small detail and I don't really care about it-the story's great!-I just thought you might like to know :)

I will constantly be in love with this idea of entrapment and the feeling of not only not being in control of your life but not being able to help someone be in control of theirs. It makes sense that Kieron would be so short fused even without his curse because of the way people pull and push him around.

I can't wait until the next chapter, though I am ridiculously nervous about the objects that Kieron is making for Amir. They are no good.
