I loved this. The part with the medicine cards really just blew me away. I like the free style and the tone used. It seemed paced to a slow metronome, or the tick of a clock in a silent room. Sorry if I'm not making any sense... I liked the last line as well, because I think it clarified some of the theme I think you were going for. I'm still not completely sure what that is, but maybe after a couple reads it will sink in.
