|Reviews for Carpe Noche|
| Nyx'sReincarnation chapter 70 . 4/21/2012
amazing story! You might want to hit the "Complete" button though...
I like how you introduced people a few at a time. I easily get confused and I sometimes even forget that characters exist...
Did you know that when you write shortish chapters (like in this story) it makes it seem longer? Well, at least it does to me.
I like the flow of the story. Sometimes some events are talked about more than others, but I think you did good with making everything equal. Does that make sense?
I also noticed that there was one even per chapter in most cases. This might contradict my last statement, but it might be nice to have some events that are linked put in the same chapter.
Keep up the great work!
| Averick chapter 70 . 6/28/2011
It's been so long since I last reviewed this! I'm terribly sorry. Things were...horrible in my family for quite some time and someone close to me died...so I've been away for a bit. Still posting, but mostly away.
Anyway, I'm back now, and read the rest of the chapters :D I love it. That twist with Sebastian being Christopher was a surprise indeed! I did not see that coming. I do like that they, Andy and Jamie, are together now. It was kind of amusing to see the dad hounding Jamie about turning her and stuff and how Jamie snapped back at him.
I can't believe it's over! I loved this story.
As for your little note, yes, I do think there should be a sequel. It doesn't have to take place immediately after this story...it could be set months, even years down the line. But I do think it should have a sequel. I would love to see more of little Ruca. I would love to see Jamie and Andy in their own pack with Jamie trying to lead them. I thought Andy took this surprisingly well. They would be so cute running together :D Maybe they could move out to the country or something? Or their friends. Do their friends ever find out? Andy's sister? What about how her parents were fighting and stuff? And Jamie's own family. Does Jamie's mom know of the Therians? That her son is one? There are many directions a sequel to this story could go, many things that could potentially be answered, and potential plotlines that you could follow. A sequel to this story, I think, would be loved and read by anyone who read Carpe Noche. So, I do hope you make a sequel! If and when you do, please message me to let me know, yeah? :D
Thanks for a great read of a story! I enjoyed the ride.

Ah, the long road ahead . . . life and writing seem to clash a lot, don't they? All spotty updates are appreciated muchly ;D While I'm totally for a sequel, I understand the need to relax for a bit, read a good book, actually vaccuum instead of sweeping the dust under the floor rug, etc. Every and all new stories from you are a cause for great joy, I look forward to reading them if you post them here. Toodles, and to another day! ~violet

And so it has. Ended, I mean . . . definite sequel possibilities, though! Ach about Mrs. Vaughn, but I expected that. Mr. McKellan is cold, man, chiller. If some dude had been involved in my kid's murder, I would not be dropping by his house and acting like everything was a-okay. But he was never of the sane variety, was he? FINALLY: the last line that caps it all off. You seem to have a way with those last lines. :D I would totally recommend this story to anyone, and I've already told my non-FictionPress buddies to read it. You should look into getting it published.
| Violet-Madness chapter 68 . 4/26/2011
When I thought things couldn't get any awesomer . . . WOW. Sebastian? DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. DOUBLE DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! I wonder if Mrs. Vaughn will be just a little sheepish about the whole going-behind-Jamie's back thing. I wonder what'll happen next? Is there a possible sequel somewhere? I believe so.
| Violet-Madness chapter 67 . 4/26/2011
Wow . . . just, wow. I almost feel bad for Brian, but meh, he kinda had it coming. Freaked out when Sebastian said "Silver Death" and freaked out again when Andy turned into a *wolf*. Also, what is with "Crows?" Huh? Must read on . . .
| Bridgett-blah chapter 70 . 4/25/2011
Oh yes yes yes, they need a sequel. I hope you do one! Its been an awesome story!
| Bridgett-blah chapter 69 . 4/25/2011
Oh my. Its over then? Sequel maybe? Hehe. that'd be amazing. xD Hehe. But oh my. They have to get back together, I mean, I get why she'd be mad at him, but at the same time, I'd just be glad he didnt die O.o Yea.
| Bridgett-blah chapter 68 . 4/25/2011
Oh my gosh. Sebastian is a Therian! I knew he couldnt just be a doogie! Hehe.
| BobDuck chapter 69 . 4/25/2011
Bravo! A book for which I would pay. Well done.

Dearest, Darlingest, Most Beloved Author,
Firstly, let me just say that it was a very good ending to the story, ‘realistic’, but not the happily ever after type of ending. It also leaves the door open for the much anticipated sequel which brings us to the gist of the review of this particular chapter.
The question is not if there should be a sequel, but rather when we will see it. There is no question as to ‘if’. Like you said, there is still so much to say; so much can still happen. We can see dynasties rise and fall here (okay, maybe I am getting over-enthusiastic. A not -so minor fault of mine).
Let’s look at a few possibilities:
•A new therian. This could be a new girl, but Andy was the new girl. It could be one of the nerdy girls at school that sensed Jaime is an Alpha after that fateful night Andy turned. Jaime’s aura/pheromones changed when Andy changed, making it possible for this girl to sense him. She might just be a bit more understanding than what Andy is at the moment, making Jaime wonder if Andy is really the girl for him.
•Maybe Jaime gets challenged from an older boy(therian) from the next town. Knowing tricks Jaime have not learnt yet. This boy also might be worse than Brian or might be a great guy with problems of his own.
•The story could also focus on Mira (Andy’s sister) and whether or not she knows about Andy, her mom and brothers.
•Another possibility is Brian’s sister plotting revenge without her father knowing. Mr McKellan might prefer Jaime and Andy changing sides, but his sister wants them dead. She might just get the boy from the next town to help her in her Quest and promise him ‘Alphahood’.
Forgive me for getting carried away…
Hope to see them all soon!

Hm...let's see ...you say Jamie and Andy need time right? Well I say write a sequel, but focusing on a completely new therian (I mean if you're up to it that is.) Then somehow towards the end of their story you could probably reconnect to Jamie & Andy, but from an outsiders POV. Then you could easily create a time skip from a few months to a year or a few years to a decade...etc. however you wanna do it.
I loved this story btw. But I couldn't help but notice Andy came to terms with it rather quickly...m...perhaps because it was completely natural to her body and is even a trait in her mother. ~shrug~
| Mysterious MD chapter 69 . 4/25/2011
That was an interesting, and good ending. It was well written, I didn't encounter any spelling or grammar errors. We don't have a "happy ending" so to speak, but this is more of one that makes sense once you think about it. Andy actually is frustrated that Jamie tried to make a choice for her, and she isn't just going along with it, so that is a well written part. Then we have her mom being crazy again. We also have Mr. McKellan try to convince Jamie to be a part of his scheme now. It was a good ending, a bit confusing and quick, but a good ending. If you would write a sequel I would probably read it. It would be interesting to see what you would come up with. Keep up the good writing overall, and great job on the story.
| Mysterious MD chapter 68 . 4/25/2011
That was an interesting chapter. The only part I think that needs correcting is when you had; "-I will help you,- he said." where the "he said" part shouldn't be in italics I think. We see that Sebastian is actually Brian's grandfather, and can transform into anything, like a crow. I look forward to reading what happens next.
| Mysterious MD chapter 67 . 4/25/2011
That was certainly an interesting chapter. It was well written, I didn't encounter any spelling or grammar errors. We see Brian is now defeated by Kevin, and Andy goes through this Silver Death thing. I wonder what the crows mean. I look forward to reading more.
