| Gabriel Lyman chapter 1 . 2/3/2013
I have to admit, this, while strongly written, confuses me a bit. Instead of poetry it comes off as a conversational dialogue.
| MolluskLeMajor chapter 1 . 1/10/2013
"Worry not, my beloved;
We can be perfectly happy
In our prison of passion"
Eloquent fingers indeed!
I think many people can draw from this because I'm sure we've all had moments where we've been attracted to the forbidden fruit. Also, when paired with the stanza below, it feels as though it argues that all affairs cannot be portrayed as heinous acts without having all the facts presented before you while not quite saying it's okay.
If this is a prison,
Then why does it feel like paradise?"
When we are intoxicated with the fumes of love and attraction, we are on some level, primal. I think this did a splendid job of catching that.
