This story is so cute! I just discovered this story today and didn't even realise there was a writing time gap since everything was in character! Your writing has the perfect balance of dialogue and description and the pacing is great too! Amazing story!

Aw I love this

I just read your bio to see what was up with the story Dru and saw that you put this story, Freedom of Structure, on hiatus because you lost motivation for the mates-at-first-sight idea. I totally understand, however I really enjoy this story.

Some ideas to throw the plot in a new direction:

-Ava turns out to be an Omega (technically they can act as a temporary Alpha when the actual Alpha is not present or taking up responsibility because of other issues). She could have been acting Alpha-ish as a survival instinct while on the run that starts winding down the more comfortable she gets with Zach and the pack. She could face judgement and a growing distance from the pack as they doubt their packs strength and safety if their Alpha pairs with an Omega. A twist could be that she starts going into heat when another pack or a rogue Alpha comes by and because she is not yet mated and also being pushed away by the pack, the Omega in her will be drawn to any Alpha.

-Ava's lawyer gives a heads up that a neighbouring pack has an Alpha that is slowly going rabid or feral and has been going after packs for more numbers and power. Ava cant leave Zach because of her sense of duty to the pack and they would all stand a better chance against the threat by sticking together. A witch or vampire could be pulling strings in order to stay in power behind the scenes.

-there could be more of a mythology/wolf culture aspect where the moon or 'Moon Goddess' submits Ava's wolf as punishment for not mating with her fated mate as she should have right away or within a reasonable timeframe. Her wolf would simply be disconnected from Ava, almost in a prison, unable to surface until Ava finds a way to prove herself as a worthy mate to Zach and appeases the moon into giving her wolf back. This could be done through facing an unseen or unexpected threat while having no access to supernatural abilities. An added twist could be that she is slowly going mad or rabid as a human the longer she is disconnected from her wolf - every once in a while just cracking a little bit causing doubt to plant seeds in the pack ties.

-there could be a council that deems Ava unfit to rule a pack because of how long she has been rogue and how long she has been rejecting her fated mate, indicating that she is out-of-touch with their ways, which they find unacceptable (borderline treason). The story could open up to the corrupt side of the supernatural world. Maybe someone on the council is looking to take over Zach's pack or something in a slimey kind of way.

Im not really sure what else to spitball at this moment but I really enjoy this story! I hope you come back around to finishing one day.

I really don't want to leave a comment, because you just left the story there and people read it and have great hopes about how it ends, but I love it and hope someday you continue it. It just makes me really sad that I am left in the middle of thw story without answers... :(

Ava don't have to try nothing. If she don't like him then she don't have to be with him. Men keeping women hostage is scary thing. Ava seems to enjoy her human life a lot then pack nonsense with too many peoples. This story is awesome.

Really great story. I just read the whole thing through from the start and I don't think there is an issue issue in style differences. Or flows very well I think.
