Angry, but poetically so. I especially liked the second stanza...it's the ironic truth-we are taught that we are evil beings and that only 'God' can save us, redeem us, whatever. In reality, though, the majority of the people have never had any proof of or contact with God, so it's sort of like "what's the point?" Good poem. _

I totally disagree. God answers prayer and he's there for you. He never said he would make things easy but he's always there with you. You can take a million steps away from him but you only need to take one step back. "Everything is a sin" - no God isn't about stopping you from doing things he just laid down laws because he doesn't want us to get hurt. Being a christian is more about what you can do than what you can't do. In the bible there's that guy Job who lost all his family and posessions and caught a terrible disease but he still believed in God and in the end God blessed him. Please don't think I'm some high and mighty hypocritical Christian because I listen to the same sort of music as you, I smoke weed, I cut myself, I'm bit of a Shit really. But I always know God loves me.
