![]() ![]() ![]() Ah, loved it! I'm so happy that it's ended and all is happy and well and stuff, but, by the same token, I'm so sad that's ended! I don't want to stop reading! I will have to read some of your other stuff because you are a fantastic author! Congrats on the completion! :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() And there be dragons . Hehe, this is a story that has power in it in the sense of ancient Estonians! I adore that! I think the Will magic is a lot alike to the old Estonians word vägi that was what they used - yes there were rituals and spirits in a way not unlike Native Americans, but the thing holding everything together - the will, the power, the magic, the life force, whatever you may call it, was free to use for everyone for healing and good deeds. There were of course naughty people trying to use it and have some success, but there was also a saying that you have to do positive things with the power. It doesn't let itself be used for any real harm against the others. For malicious people the same tools just didn't work at all or worked in a half-assed/muted way. The life itself was holy and you couldn't just use holy tools against the holyness itself. The main tool was actually deep faith. If you believed in it every tool may it be a christian prayer, a pagan chant or a traditional song would have power to help, protect and heal you. Sorry I'm rambling again, but I just wanted to express the thought that I think your story has the spark and imagination in it that makes myself feel like I get some of that good energy/power from reading it. Even in the most desperate situation in plot for the characters I sense this light and cheerful tone of voice you'd probably use if you were reading it out loud. This gives the feeling that yeah, things are bad right now, but they're turning out good, there's the light of the good end already glowing out of the darkest corner . |
![]() ![]() ![]() LOL, the fact that Harry can literally pack himself into a carrying case is brilliant. I love it, haha. ['Yes. But I wouldn't waste it on rubbish like this. Magic is like silver cutlery, Ebony, you only bring it out to either impress, or stab, important guests. So I suggest you get us off this roof the same way you got up here.'] LOL. I like that Harry treats her the same, he's not coddling her but he's not bullying her. He's guiding her but he's making her own decisions, although he's really pushing for some blasting, LOL. Which makes me think of a child who gets excited with a new toy because they can smash it into things. ['A rock through the window should do the trick,' the case gaffawed with laughter, 'that should show the upstart. Or you could try keying the code into the alarm system. The dunce of a Detective had my book in his arms when he was opening the door.'] LOL. I like the way the atmosphere is still a bit tense but there's levity and Ebony is unsure but she's thinking and things no longer seem as hopeless because she's getting up and doing things instead of just waiting for it to happen. |
![]() ![]() Awesome! I love harry he's an awesome character lol. Update soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() YES! She's back! And with Harry and Nate actually cooperating, you just know some crazy sh*t's going to go down. I have to say, out of all the people I wanted to slap in this chapter, Ebony was highest on my list. You did an excellent job of making her sound all sad and hopeless and full of self-loathing and doubt, which made her realization and the return of her magic all that more climatic. I have to say one thing though... in the next chapter, if you use the line, "When there's a Will, there's a way," I will definitely be giggling and rolling my eyes. Just so you know... Ha. Loved the updates, and I'm very excited for the next chapter! |
![]() ![]() ![]() It is becoming more and more intense. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nate is a knight! That makes perfect sense! Oh I'm more and more enjoying the story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Such a profound chapter. The transformation that Ebony went through was wonderful. She could choose what mattered to her and the will came from within her. So many people give up hope and think that there is nothing they can do to change their lives (I am like that sometimes), but we live in the world we create. If we let drama get to us, then our lives will be full of it. If we let peace overcome us, then our lives will be peaceful. Bravo to Ebony for finding herself. To being. And to you, for another great chapter. Happy Writing, Nourgelitnius |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah, it's so lovely being away for a few days and coming back to multiple chapters. :) So, happy everything is working out for Ebony and, I must admit, I suspected that Nate would have something to do with a Knight. I'm loving it! By the way, in the last few chapters you've had a couple of instances where you've written 'know' instead of 'now' or visa-versa. As well as a couple of other misspellings that follow the same trend. Just thought you'd like to know. A part from that; Can't wait for the next chapters. It's just so exciting! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very inspirational :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was not expecting that, great twist. Can't wait for more! |
![]() ![]() ![]() And we have come full circle-Well, if not full circle then pretty darn close! Oh, so many surprises! So much story in so little time. Wonderful chapter. I loved how Harry kept going on about how he has fought DRAGONS. I love that we finally got to see Nate, the real Nate. Seriously it was such a wonderful chapter. Happy Writing, Nourgelitnius |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow - the quote of the day - "Everything is like fighting dragons" . I'm just baffled about Harry's hilarious way of travel. It's bloody brilliant! |
