![]() ![]() ![]() Well, well well. Can't believe I'm at the very end. Just to note, I have noticed the moments of slight romantic tension between Vaelen and Llana throughout the story, but I didn't think to remark upon it in case nothing ever came of it. I still like how it's left out in the open-ambiguous. Anyway, this book has made me sit on the edge of my seat, laugh, gasp in apprehension and disbelief, and especially at the end here, smile. What a good, wholesome story. Filled with danger and unpleasantness many times, but that just makes the pleasant things shine brighter. Finally, YOU, SIR, NEED TO POST MORE OF YOUR WRITING HERE ON FICTIONPRESS! ...Unless of course you're in the process of publishing. In which case, LET ME KNOW SO I CAN GO BUY WHATEVER IT IS! :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank God. I was actually worried you were going to kill Tarika, Arronai, or worse, Serlai. Whew. On to the final chapter! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Intense chapter! I never really expected Vaelen to end up facing Everain. Awesome. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really liked the way this chapter ended, with the concept of what family truly is. Very wholesome. Very nice. |
![]() ![]() ![]() It was certainly interesting to see both sides, and their respective advantages and disadvantages. But Serlai's warning seems rather foreboding... He must know that the odds are against them for sure, and has clearly prepared himself for such an outcome. I can't believe I'm getting close to the end already. It's too soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() The escape plan was pure genius. Posing as someone from the Temple? Genius. I had no idea what was going to happen. I still don't, really, which tells of your skill as a writer, once again! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I think I'm more nervous now than I have been at any other point in your book. The suspense is gut-wrenching, seriously. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow. What an awful, grotesque chapter. In a good way, though, of course. It was chilling. Quite disturbing, especially the imagery of the gory execution. I find myself wondering how much they're doing to her is irreparable damage. Where are you, Vaelen? This is torture. Once again, though, in a good way. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I sort-of-kind-of half-expected Llana to get kidnapped, but oddly it still came as a total shock, haha. I guess you're just that good of a writer. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I apologize for being away from your story for so long. Something important kind of took precedence over my life and I no longer found myself able to engage in the luxury of reading good fiction. But now I'm back. I actually reread the Prologue and all these chapters all over again, and enjoyed it very much. Anyway, I'm on the edge of my seat again, not knowing whether Llana is safe. I'm happy to be back to your book! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah, just when things felt somewhat resolved... we get word that Valkia knows of Vaelen (though he doesn't know his name). And for some reason I wasn't expected Vaelen to be Knighted either, just like Vaelen was surprised. But it definitely makes sense. Oh, and now the title makes sense too. Good chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow. This entire chapter (the whole battle) had me on the edge of my seat! |
![]() ![]() ![]() So glad to see Serlai is back, and with men to help fight! It reminds me of LOTR: The Two Towers where the elves unexpectedly come to fight with Theoden and his men. Also glad to see that Vaelen is filled with a sense of purpose now. |
![]() ![]() ![]() It's good to see a more confident Ellian in this chapter. And I'm feeling relieved that Vaelen feels relieved now as well. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, wow. I'm really going to miss Serlai... I hope he comes back into the story at some point (my prediction is he probably will). |
