This is only a guess on my part, but I suspect that Brandon is in love with Allison, but he knows her well enough to know that it won't go well if he confesses it to her; am I right? Somehow it seems that she is the one who broke it off the first time and that since then he is willing to let her set the tone just as long as he can keep her close.

There will probably a lot of hurt and anguish before she finally wakes up to the truth.

This is a well-written and thought-provoking story. I look forward to further installments.

I just wanted to take this moment to say your story is really good so far! Some people think it's cliched, but I personally think you buried the cliche and left it in the dust. Of course, it's assumed there's a cliche somewhere deep inside there that could rear its head if you aren't careful with your story, but so far I really like this. This is the first story I've read that two best friends are friends with benefits and the girl gets knocked up. I hope she doesn't get kicked out of the house. A big family is what she needs and what most stories like this lack.
