Great story. I am surprised I missed this years ago. I hope to see an end to this one day. I can understand how hard it is to come back to a story that you did not finish years afterwards (as I am currently trying to do it myself) but I hope that you can do it as this is a great story and I would love to see Bastian live and get revenge. All through out reading this story I could foresee the romantic ballads written about the Courtesan Prince and the Lion of the West for many generations afterwards.

I really enjoyed the story so far. It is well written, with good descriptions and a little suspense. What a bad place to end! There are a few typing errors. A couple of extra 'to's' where they don't need to be. And some other extra words where its easy to see what should be there. Other than that, it's an enjoyable story. Thank you.

What an evil, delicious cliffhanger! I hope Tristan is trying to be flirty, rather than just getting comfortable with Bastian. Also, sexy assassins are always awesome.

In my opinion, you don't see enough fantasy stories like this on fictionpress, and this is a really good one. I'm looking forward to see what happens. I like the characters and plot. I'd like to see more between Tristan and Bastian-which I'm sure there will be-because those just make me giddy. Anyway, thanks for posting and update when you can!

I'm really loving this story, so far. It's fun watching Bastian fall for Tristan, though he doesn't get much back from him (but that's the fun in unrequited love stories- the will they/won't they). One of my favorite moments in the 3 chapters so far is when Tristan helps change the subject since Bastian is uncomfortable. It's such a nice moment that shows that he is noticing and learning things about Bastian, as well. I can't wait to read more of this!

Good story so far. You had a few errors here and there but nothing another look over can't fix. Your descriptions were good. I want to know more about this prince and captain. Oh, and great ending, what with the memory and the hint of magic in there. Very nice attention grabber. I look forward to the next chapter!
