Reviews for A Gift of Ghosts |

![]() ![]() Hi, congrats on getting the book up on Amazon. Yes, yes, I know-self-published, but STILL. I went to buy it yesterday, and had already clicked before I realised they were offering it for free. I hope you still get your coffee-money for it. It was #177 in the free downloads, if that's any comfort. I went to look just now, to see if it had gone up any and it's now on sale for money again. Typical. Amazon UK are charging £2.58, by the way, which might just about get you a decent cup of coffee over here. In some places it might get you two. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really liked the Revised version! I think it works well. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love this! I was a little skeptical at the beginning-the whole main character Zane at a company called GD was a little too convenient-but this story really pulled me in. I loved the progression of Akira and Zane's relationship. I loved the way she formed an attachment to the ghosts. And I especially loved that not everything she knew about ghosts was right, that she learned new things over the course of the story. A beautiful story, really. :) |
![]() ![]() Really hoping this posts since I seem to be having trouble registering for this site, so just tore through the story in one sitting without stopping to review along the way. This was a truly amazing piece of work-I enjoyed every word. It's definitely publication worthy-wouldn't be at all surprised if a publisher agreed. You made ghosts seem credible, no mean feat, and brought all the characters to life. And what a balancing act between the nods to Eureka fans, evoking its feel and characters, without mimicking either. People who've never seen the show get a great, well-written story, while those of us who have can enjoy the references without being taken out of this story at all. Bravo! And was very sorry to hear about your mom's passing-hopefully writing through those last chapters was more a help than a burden. |
![]() ![]() Once again, I'm getting to this very late. But I really wanted to say that I'm so glad you added this last chapter. The previous one just didn't sit well with me as a true ending. I had too many unresolved issues, if you'll pardon the ghost pun ;) This last one cleared up the questions I had about what happened with the other ghosts and it felt much more resolved, like a happy sigh at the end of a busy day. At some point I look forward to sitting down and reading the whole thing through. I hope, when you get to your reviewing, you enjoy it as much as we have. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow this is really interesting! You have a lot of details, and I can relate to the main character. Except you know, I can't see ghosts. And I'm not a physics teacher. |
![]() ![]() Awesome story, I really liked it. Your descriptions of everything were very vivid and imaginative. Please continue to write ,because I enjoy reading your stories |
![]() ![]() ![]() This has got to be the gosh darn sweetest and most interesting story I've read in a long while. I can't wait for more of what you'll write to be up for reading. Great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Can ni take up a copy astory if it get piblished because i really liked it |
![]() ![]() ![]() Please tell you are writting a sequel about the baby because that was an epic ending which left room for a sequel. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I like the ending! Very nicely done! :D |
![]() ![]() lol, I never expected another chapter but i'm happy that you wrote this and that i decided i wanted to read this again. Anyway, i love the chapter and how Nat is acting. I also love how you don't just come out and say Akira's "condition" lol. I'm glad you added another chapter because i felt the story ended too soon as well. Anywayi hope you write something else soon (Eureka or otherwise) because i just love your writing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was glad to see you added one last chapter. This tied the story up nicely. Once again great job. And Akira's pregnant right? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, now, THAT was the perfect ending, with an excellent tie-in to the beginning of the story. Well done, my friend! |
![]() ![]() ![]() A fantastic wrap up to a great story that I'm sure will be even better when you tackle editing and revisions in December. The highest praise I can level is that you've taken a committed SFF/Thriller junkie and made me enjoy a solid Romance. Bravo. |
