Reviews for Amazon Awakening
Hisao Hachiyama chapter 1 . 2/15/2015
Very gripping indeed. I agree a bit with the previous review, it only grabbed you after about half way through, but I don't think it was so much of a trudge. I also think there was a lot revealed about the main character other than just his love of nature, but I must say the supernatural part left me a little ... confused. Otherwise this is most certainly a great story.
LittleWickedOne chapter 1 . 7/10/2012
Very nice, a gripping tale. However, I couldn't help but notice that you switched from past to present tence and back a few times, which was rather distracting to say the least. Also, the beginning is a bit slow and matter of fact. You want to ensnare the reader immediately, not with huge amounts of action from the beginning, but with details that interest them, make them want to read on. I rather had to force myself to get past the beginning, which was also disappointingly bereft of personal details about Jay, as I would have enjoyed getting to know him a bit better. Not that you didn't explain his past and reason for being there, just that I would have liked to pinpoint exactly what kind of a person he is, other than the fact that he enjoys nature. Also, there are many very small gramatical errors scattered throughout that you may have looked at, such as missing commas and periods, fragments and the like. All in all, though, an impressive story.
