Great touch having her experience his world and get some trailing training. lol. It was a fun and light chapter but still held the heaviness of the secrets. Great job once again... I just hope the truth comes out soon so they can get some honesty into this relationship.

Dang Makayla's nosy! But that's what makes her a good going-to-be-a-cop. I suspect that tailing skill Chance taught her is going to get him trouble sooner or later.

He's such a liar... I feel bad for her...

I like how Chance is still a mystery. I think that makes him a very appealing character. Each chapter we learn a little more but overall we don't really know a thing about him...very alluring and sexy if you ask me ;)

Why didn't Chance just randomly pick a watch from the pawn shop? I have to say Makayla is sharp, but is slowly blinded by luv...

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Makayla. From my point of view, her personality is an obvious catalyst; she's pretty smart, but too nosy! It keeps the plot going, but I'm getting tired of her always pushing things. If I was Chance, I'd be super annoyed. Good thing I'm not. I really like Chance's point of view, though. I think it's because we really get to know him, and he thinks about himself a lot. Makayla just seems more centered on Chance than herself. I think I'd like to see Makayla and her personal life... like a day or two without Chance. I like the story though... keep the good work up! :)

Wow I cant believe she got the tattoo. I really hope Chance does not break her heart.

Silly Chance... He's falling deep and fast

A bit of deja vu here. Him waking up in her bed after a night of almost but not quite and doing some soul-searching. I loved where this was going but then she had to worry about her breath...darn! And then she was hungry! Good heavens girl, he's there, your there, all parties are willing and...you make eggs. Forehead slap!

I love how she's so intent on reforming him. Going back to the pawn shop was a very good idea on her part. It hadn't occurred to me at all!

The bridge scene was nice - I'd like to walk across one of those too one day! And then he suggests she get a tattoo...and she agrees. Oh my - that is impulsive...and permanent. So sweet that she chose the shamrock. I must confess I never thought much about how a tattoo must hurt, but yikes! all those little needle pricks - ugh - I can't imagine how people who are majorly inked can do that over and over (But then again I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to pain!)

Oh, and I liked the bit about him viewing her as a future detective who arrests him and puts him in jail. I'll confess that at first I wondered if Chance was actually a cop or a PR or somehow involved in a sting operation (e.g. after he turned his father in, someone talked him into using his talents for good) but now I'm not so sure anymore.

Can't wait for the next bit!

I love the line 'men where just happy to be invited to the party!' It's great and so true! Every woman should recite that whenever they get self-conscious - maybe even make it into one of those little plastic clingy things you stick to mirrors!

My, my...she is forward in this one isn't she? That climax last chapter must have helped - lol! And Chance is hanging back, feeling all guilty and worried. Darn but I like the fellow, even if he is a conning weasel.

Oh, and then the morning after...sort of... and, like every good overnight guest she goes snooping in his bathroom. (Do men do that or is it only a female thing?) Anyway, she finds the clued and pastes them together like the clever girl she is and...he lies his way out of it again! Grr - I want to throw something at someone about then but wasn't sure which character to aim for!

Hi! I finally have a few minutes to breath and am taking the time to review all your wonderful chapters. Rest assured, I've been reading along, just not having the chance to compose decent comments!

This chapter had a few nice bits of comedy as well as the ever building tension and love-hate relationship we all have with Chance. His purposeful mud slip, the way he knew she was going to go snooping and then made all that noise to warn her he was coming - a nice light touch admist the rest.

I love how Chance was ready to attack Reggie at the idea of the man hurting her - so galant. But then in contrast you have him constantly plotting away, trying to deceive her. Such a complex character.

A nice hot, make out scene - I always love those wink and then you end with him telling what can only be termed 'a whopper' of a lie...and she falls for it! I almost want to give her a bit of a poke and tell her to wake up, but then again, she's falling for him and wants to believe him...and she's just had a great release, so of course she views him favourably...

Such a twisting tale!
