Very good, I like it how the characters were described from others' points of view rather than their own. The writing style portrays the children's emotions, when they were confused, the writing seemed confused, when they were afraid, the writing seemed afraid.A bit short, slightly lacking in description here and there, but all around very well done.

This was very good, and I can't wait for the next chapter. It was a little confusing here and there, particularly this: "Yup, completely blind. That's why they keep this metal helmet over my head, in case I open my eyes." Um, blocking the light for someone who's blind serves no purpose. Or is it the helmet that makes it so she can't see?

Wow, great start so far! The characters are very interesting and the names are well thought out(I won't ask where you even got the idea to put them in Latin :D ). The story sounds like it's going to be interesting, can't wait for the next chapter!
