![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry, my reviews suck. I don't know how to write what I like about a poem, other than that I like it, so I won't do a good on this review either, but I must say I really like this piece. I really like your comparison of colors to feelings and the visuals ( I will wrap tight around you like a vine growing on a tree) Great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() The personification of the colors is really moving. There's a bitter sort of irony hiding in the fact that only two of the colors (yellow and violet, which are actually opposites) express positive emotions while the rest express negative emotions. I really enjoyed your use of simile and metaphor to color (no pun intended) your words. Good work. I like what you've created here. -stix- |
![]() ![]() ![]() I like the unusual structure of this. The poem is very vivid and the emotions are varied, so most people could probably take something away from this regardless of their situation. "Like an unopened gift, I offer myself to you. A Good Samaritan, I will take care of you if you will let me. I am understanding, knowing the places you have been through. Forgiving, relieving you of your hardships. Encouraging, showing you a new way. As a teacher with a student, I teach you my ways, if only you will share them with those around you." I like this stanza particularly. It's a nice contrast to the fear of the stanza before it, and there are some lovely similies. You're quite good at description. Katie. |
