| Zoanzon chapter 97 . 7/12/2019 Honestly, I just love the multitudes you've woven into your villains. For the lower-level, we have the Ulquaan Ibasan invaders seeking to weaken the continent while the Dragon Cult members see it as an opportunity to get themselves a Primordial, and all the multitudes of other motivations we have in the cult, and how Sudomir plans to use the chaos for his own aims. And on the higher level, we have Jornak as a Visionary Zealot, Q-I as a (semi-)pragmatic figure doing what he can for his country, and Silverlake as a self-centered, more-unstable-than-originally-expected figure only out for her own skin, all technically co-operating but only barely. You've woven so many different motivations and personalities together, each a proper antagonist in their own right, yet made all of them realistic and multi-faceted, and I love it. |

And funny enough, my first read of MoL years ago helped shape the characterization of an ancient lich in one of my settings, and Q-I's depiction here mirrors my character so well. I love Q-I and hope we see more of him. (Also, when Zorian noted the doubled-reserves my immediate first thought was that Q-I was Zack's ancestor, lol) |
