Man, chapter 26 was hard to read. I get that her family is only trying to help her but her mother really shouldn't have done what she did. Or at the very least give her time to come forward with this herself, when she feels ready to. But the confrontation, plus all the accusations... poor beth :(

Hi, present me again lol. Sooo I'm kinda starting to think I've been mislead, that or I'm just really dumb. I really came into this story fearing the worst about the male protagonist but literally- so far Sennar has been nothing short of a sweetheart. You just know he's trying. It's really the other people around him that are scummy and do crimes. That or he's also a really bad person and is just good at hiding it? who knows. But on that note, poor Beth and also, F MICHAEL.

Just read the end of chapter 14 and, holy shit, I can't wait to see what's gonna happen. I just recently (with recently I mean today) started reading this story and must say I am HOOKED so far. I know Crime is one of the genres but I for the life of me cannot guess what it is Sennar actually does lmao, although I have some vague guesses here and there... Either way I am hyped to find out!

Really excited to see where this goes! I feel like this ending works so much better than the old one. I mean, the old one could have worked, but it had just seemed so abrubt and out of nowhere, like it hadn't been built up to. I feel like this one makes so much more sense with what you wrote.

I couldn't stop, so i have stayed awake all night, finishing your wonderful story,,(first time reading anything for 16hours strait!) Im happy with the way it all ended, yet, there are so many unanswered questions i have. I do look forward to reading more, even if its not the same story. You have become a favorite!

I absolutley loved the new ending, though it is a bit confusing to read from the previous version to this one, seeing as to not being able to understand if some parts of what happened from the previous version happened in the new one as well.
