This was sweet and angsty to read. Thank you for sharing this! I adore Sterling (Ling), and think he gave in too easily to Chris (Im half joking, I know Chris took a year and we're only getting Sterling's perspective)! But it also felt realistic/more organic and true to Sterling's character that he did.
Each character felt fleshed out enough that we got some idea of who they were and the two main characters were as well. It reads well too, your prose is nice

This is very well done. The only complaint I have is that you didn't describe what each of the characters looked like. Next time, paint an image for your reader on what each person looks like.

I loved this, the entire thing from start to finish. sterling and Chris are perfect and I nearly cried toward the ending. Beautiful!
