A nice story. The ending left the reader satisfied without actually resolving everything. It is safe to assume that Fiona and Chance married and that Gracie will be the product of their union, right?

Was the man who tried to rape her her uncle? It seems that he lured her in by promising to let her see Alexis... was it a relative of Alexis?

Does Chance not realize that he loves her? He gave all of the other reasons, but not the only one that would matter to her.

The lady's son is going to turn out to be the policeman who hates Chance, right?

At least a helicopter is on its way.

Is Gracie the daughter who could be born in the future?

And was Fiona raped or was there an attempt that somehow failed due to outside circumstances?

A lot of drama and no firm decisions yet. Too few people are able to make the important decisions during crisis moments. If she is already in peronditus (sp?) then her life is in serious danger. If they can't move her, then one of the doctors needs to step up and take action.

Fiona's memories hint at a lot of things, but leave everything vague enough that nothing is clear... which fits with her delirium, but is driving me crazy!

Everything is getting hairy very quickly. It doesn't seem to be safe to go out into the streets. Chance appears to be a man who is well able to protect himself, but can he protect Fiona and the two doctors while he is also carrying her?

They will probably operate on the spot. Is that correct?

The confused flashbacks are an effective way to illustrate the nature of their relationship as well as telling Fiona's history. So the truth is that the pair like each other, but Fiona keeps all men at arm's length to avoid losing someone else that she loves?

This seems to be a promising story. I'm looking forward to reading more.

Does she have appendicitus?
