|Reviews for Collection Of Lullabies: Emily's Story|
| TonyL chapter 1 . 8/7/2012
First I am going to say; this is beautifully written. Easily read and very descriptive with out going overboard.
I picked up a few things.
Michael being a wealthy doctor was obviously in his mid thirties and that he married Emily when she was twenty one. Emily was very malleable and Michael could easily shape her into what ever he wanted.
Michael tired of her and I think went for yet again a younger woman.
Emily realizes that she had assigned almost God like status on Michael knew the only way out of his influence was death. So she killed herself for two reasons; to escape and to make him feel sorry.
I may be reading to much into the story, but that is what I got.

I loved it! Your opening was really good, you had a great hook. It was like you just had to keep reading and the ending was even better. I loved the metaphor at the end. :) Even though I've never liked the stories of a girl having to be controlled and not being strong enough on her own, I felt attached to her. The only thing that would have made it better was if Michael had shown up right before she jumped and took her back into his life, but of course that's coming from a romantic. :) It seemed to me that their relationship was a little unnatural in the way that she really was like his puppet, like you stated. It was different though and I liked it so good job. :)

That was just...amazing. So sad, so descriptive. It gave insight on her past life as well as the present, and I liked that. Good job :)
