You've updated! Strangely enough, just before I read that last line, I also thought that she could use him as a convenient meat shield of sorts. Maybe he'll become a bodyguard, protecting her from all danger, supernatural or otherwise (including himself, of course).

But I must say that I've always found orange moons rather disturbing to see. They can be pretty eerie.

My favorite parts of your writing are your conversations. They always flow very realistically, and give a good sense of character in a way that no amount of angsty inner-monologuing can.

Marionette, after reading and losing interest in a great deal of fiction, your writing style comes as a breath of fresh air. Your surrealism combined with respect for internal dialog is something I find very compelling.

You obviously have a lot of choices for where your story ends out, but if I had anything to recommend, it would be that you slowly add more and more detail to your settings: the cafe, the house, etc. If you focus on making the mundane more striking, you can make your writing seem more surreal, giving the supernatural theme a greater place.

The line of yours I liked the most was, "It was a man. That's never a good sign, a strange man outside your window. Unless you're in a Shakespeare play, and even then it isn't really a good sign." It shows evidence of not only a creative writer, but gives us an incredibly good sense of the character. I look forward to seeing more like this!
