Very nice, chapter. The mystery thickens.

After plowing through 21 pages of reviews, I found out that I am actually 30 chapters behind T.T

It tasted like coffee... Origin identified?
Ten-second physical contact. Hm, trolling professor principal Chio Dizo... The professor and principal being the same person is slightly surprising, but still quite guessable. Looks like one of my theories were right.
The arc that ended with a kiss. Although, had to admit, Kicchan, these first few chapters sound oversimplified for someone with your level of proficiency. But still works.
Hm, why 70 kilometers?

'And I followed. And had ice cream.' - lol, Miki in a nutshell. XD
Although... Shiori was an unexpected twist... Will she be sacrificed?
Eh, climax already? o_o This 3 chapters is nearing climax?

Oh, wait, Dimensional Zone, huh?
The ever smiling principal. Hm.
Okay, vague... in a curious-cat kind of way... maintains the energy of the last chapter...
So Eterno is a half-demon. That was... a little bit jarring. I thought you'd let that fact out with some more... impressive trick instead of mentioning it there. :P
And I got a little tad bit confused. Are the professor from the first scene and Professor Dizo from the third the same person? And are the professor and the principal the same person? Second question: Maybe not, but first question... it's not vey clear.

So the 'Z' in DZ is Zone? D? Dream?
The disembodied speakers in the beginning must be some kind of hidden evils or something, for not wanting to be found and all. Or maybe not. Hm.
A usual start. A usual scene. No, not bad either.
The narration sounded... yeah, maybe it was Miki's personality.
Well, first chapters are like that, especially if it's 1k-word-long.
Ah... that author's note: the Kicchan of 2012 used to nya(tilde) at more frequent intervals.
Guess I need to read more to find something really special. I have high expectations, mind you! ;D

Ah, so Zero was right! Aria is the Heartbreak Spirit!

Although... something isn't clear to me. Nex surely made up the whole signature thing with the curled S, right? And I know that Aria ust've have copied him for some reason, right? But is it too coincidental that both Nex and Aria had the same idea? Did Nex know about the Spirit already to call himself that, since the Spirit has been ingrained in history for years and years and years, so Aria couldn't have copied the idea from him.

So, wut?

Anyway, more Miki and Clear action! Got to say, I love the friction. Clear is creepy with his short sentences, though his Talent is cool.

But failing to realize that you had lost one of your arms? *facepalms*

Oho, a NexSelena moment. *is shot* But it's nice to see them in a halcyon mood, and the prose there was very nicely done. You alternated between setting and dialogue, giving it that sort of outward, serene feel. I like it. I like it a lot xD

And wait a sec! It's Sec! He's turning out to be on the good side, but we'll see about that *nods evilly*

Nex's ability to read emotions is quite interesting, and what's more is that he can't read Sec's. Hmm...

Ah, Clear is pretty ironic. His motives and backstory isn't very clear, yes? He's still a large question mark to me. Maybe he's the villain! *is shot*

Although, it's weird that he can smell Talents. Maybe that's his talent?

Tsuki and Aria again. They make a perfectly good ship together, but at the same time there's the age difference. Although, vampires live eternally young... so... *is shot*

Ah, I like how Mira has the ability to throw Zero off track. It somehow adds to their relationship, as though it has some friction despite their personas being eerily alike. I wonder, however, why they aren't in on the action. Surely they could do something, right?

And why did Zero pair the expressive Fai with the overly loud Red? o.O

I want to know Eterno's talent!

These multiple plot strings sure are doing my head in x3

Oh, Eterno is playing into the Puppeteer's hands, eh? The latter seems interesting. And Miki and Clear are off to find Eterno, whilst the mysterious guy who I thought was a vampire hunter (he still could be!), Sec, has found Selema- ack! I mean, Selena! 'Miki' is the magic word here, so go Selena!

One thing I'd like to nitpick about. While the multiple plot strings give that sort of mystery effect I love, it's all become rather confusing to follow. If you ever decide to rewrite this, I'd suggest better organization of all the scenes (probably dedicate each chapter to two POVs or more, depending on your preference x3)

Hmm, not as much going on in this one. A little slow, but it's good to get some outside perspective about what the heck's going on.

Looking back on the first chapters, I'm definitely noticing a lot of improvement. There's a tangible atmosphere, background characters to populate the scene, some descriptions here and there. My biggest complaint about the minimalist style is that it leaves the reader to do all of the imaginative heavy lifting, but you've figured out how to make everything do work and just make everything seem so much fuller. Awesome, awesome work!
