Reviews for The Duke's Prisoner |
---|
![]() ![]() ![]() I feel really bad that I have not reviewed this story yet after 18 chapters, but I usually don't have the time. But this story really deserves a review! I LOVE IT! And at first I was not very excited about going back in time in part two but I really appreciate it now that we see more of Kasha. Throughout all of part one I was so desperate to see Kasha give up his revenge because I could tell he had a good heart. I like the character development in Kasha from part two. I feel really connected to almost all the characters mentioned in the story. They are what keep me coming back to this. (That and the fact that I desperately want to know what happened to poor Abele and see how Kasha turns out) Again, I am really sorry I haven't reviewed before because each chapter deserves a review! Fantastic story! |
![]() ![]() So I gave this a try back when you first started it and wasn't endeared. Finally, I decided to give it another chance because I'd already reread most of my favorite stories and know how hopeless it is to easily find unread good fiction here. I skipped rereading the first chapter, and maybe skimmed the second, I can't remember, but I found it emotionally complex and well done for the most part. I wanted to hate you when part one was over, but part two is well paced and doesn't seem out of place. I now look forward to meeting Abele and really liked meeting Lidagara. So yeah, nice work. I'm not sure what it was that turned me off in the first chapter- maybe that no one really seemed likable. Kasha was sort of flat, maybe because its a little tinted by the kings pov, and that he's showing a part of himself that really isn't him. Not to say that that show isn't appropriate, just that maybe it doesn't need to come first. But again, in the end its great work. |
![]() ![]() I must say again that I really like Opheali. She knows what she wants, she's not shy about it- and she knows how to make Kasha happy. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh goodness... I love every part of it. Even the sad parts. |
![]() ![]() Well this explains why Jova is horrible (more like an absolutely sick and loathsome creature) and why Kasha was so utterly destroyed when he lost Abele (assuming Abele saved his soul). I hope this flashback gets happier. |
![]() ![]() ![]() End part 1, huh? You (insert bad word here). I am kind of displeased but I guess I can handle learning more about Abele. -Shama |
![]() ![]() Oh man! It can't end like that! Flashbacks are no fun until there is justice and then the flashbacks can be cathartic and remembered with love by Kasha. I'm glad Rodan will at least spill the beans. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh Wanda, you're so cruel! Leaving us with that cliff hanger. Then again, I look forward to part two, as I'm guessing that there will be a happy Kasha for once. And I want to meet Abele :) |
![]() ![]() Good, now that Kasha has realized that Rodan wasn't the one who harmed Abele, what will he do now? Can he ask for help finding the individual responsible? What if the person who framed Rodan was also responsible for destroying Rodan's village? Or what if... It was someone with an agenda against Kasha? |
![]() ![]() ![]() More like Ohhh, shit. Whatcha going to do, Kasha? I look forward to the next chapter to find out! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Maybe a nice beating across the head will knock some sense into Kasha. -Shama |
![]() ![]() I suspected that Rodan might not have been directly responsible for Abele's death, although he may have been indirectly responsible for letting it happen- the question is, who wrote the letter and worse, who tortured, mutilated and killed him? |
![]() ![]() Hmmm interesting turn of events- what will happen now that Rodan's daughter has been bought? Is there any way to get revenge without destroying oneself? You'd think so but apparently not... |
![]() ![]() Wow. I was not expecting Syl to show up. I'm hoping that she sticks around. Ugh! I need more! I'm totally hooked! Thanks for the chapter! |
![]() ![]() What an intriguing story! The characters are very well-rounded and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next chapter. Hope that you update soon! |
