Reviews for I Want You
underthebridge chapter 1 . 2/17/2012
This was a phenomenal poem. The first aspect of the poem that penetrated me was the typography; the brevity of each line and the length of the singular verse impales the reader with its shape. Second, the language. The dicktion from the first line, "i want your love" to the last line "i love you" erects an image of the persona's hardening desire. The line "hands." elucidates the physicality of the persona's affection and uses these brief ejaculations of introspection to shed huge, thick shafts of love on the face of realization.

It really touched me in a way no poem has ever touched me before. It feels like the first time reading poetry all over again. Honestly. Ridickulously good.
