Intriguing first entry.

DUN DUN DUN! Cool Cliffhanger!

Not going to lie, I was unbelievably disappointed when I got to the end of this chapter and realized it was the last one you'd written. This is by far the best story I've read on FictionPress in quite some time. I'm a sucker for a good dystopia and I love how you explore human nature from the unorthodox position of an outsider looking in, that is stripping humans of their humanity in order the underscore what humanity actually is. There's depth to this piece, to the characters and storyline, and I really like that. There are a few proofreading errors scattered throughout the chapters, but nothing so serious that it kept me from pressing on. This is definitely going on my favorites list and I look forward to an update.

The Purge is a cool-sounding name. The society you invented seems a bit like "The Giver", but more extreme. Have you ever read that book? I think this book will be better.

I enjoy the suspense that keep me wondering about the next chapter. I hope Charlotte find a way of the predicament she encounter.

Awwww. How cute? Liam and Charlotte were noticing each other on the monorail. I'm noticing a contrast between Liam and Charlotte's chapter, which makes sense since she's off the Purge and he's not. I like the internal struggle going on with him as well during the last few minutes before the next Purge dose. I like how the gas is starting to wear off and it gets harder and harder to suppress emotions. Even those who take the purge regularly still have to struggle so the medicine is not without fault. Ingenious! Cliffhanger ending . . . Gotta read more

Free Spirits? Hmm . . . I'm like Charlotte wondering what that is. I guess it might come into play later. Who is this handsome boy that Charlotte is checking out? I guess I have to keep reading to find out. I love how she's unsure about his looks since society doesn't really prize beauty over apathy I suppose. Charlotte's a Messenger? Reminds me of Faith in the Mirror's Edge video game. Can Charlotte scale building too? If so, that'll be so awesome. LOL! This story reminds me of a recent YA book called Legend, where the two main characters alternate telling the story in each chapter. I haven't read any of Liam's chapters yet but I see that he will be narrating as well from the chapter listing. Your story has definitely achieved favorite story from me on Fictionpress (as if it already hadn't the moment I read the first word).

Love love love love LOVE the silent rebellion and how Charlotte started a trend at school without meaning to. I also enjoyed how she got out of the liquid Purge. Charlotte is a defiant little genius and I love it! This story is really great so far, better than a lot of stuff out there that's published. You are definitely not an amateur writer and it shows through in your work. This chapter was flawless just like the first one. I'm craving more badly. I think I'm about to get cozy and spend sometime with yoru story here.
