Oh, phew. You don't know how relieved I was when Charlotte managed to wriggle out of that. That was a clever move, but I wonder how she's going to keep getting away with it. She can't pretend to be sick every week...unless something happens before then. ;)

Now this is interesting.

I admit I've always been a avid reader of future-dystopian literature (pardon me if that wasn't the term you had in mind). This reminds me in some ways of 1984, where one facial twitch can throw you into the hands of the Thought Police. Or a different deviation on Brave New World, except instead of taking a drug to be happy and carefree, this one eliminates feelings altogether.

Your writing style is very sharp and vivid with basically no technical errors (yay!), and I really like the way that it flows. So, do please continue to update. I look forward very much to the next chapter! _

I love the story line! Somewhat reminds me of the Hunger Games. But, of course, it's only the first chapter. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us!
