At first i thought this poem was for Kristallnacht (the night of broken glass)but the twist in the last line made it all the more personal. Good work

The corrext structure for a tanka is 5-7-5-7-7, but despite that, I like this. It is beautifully done. For some reason, I think you would make beautiful lanturnes as well.
