Just wanted to share my honest thoughts..Hope that won't irritate you. I come across this story many times. but I was not able to navigate after the start. Why should she do this to herself and Caden.? Why people should hurt themselves if their ex treats them not in right way? Is there any other constructive coping mechanism in this word? your writing style makes it more realistic. I just thought why would people approve any relationships which are based on only sexual fulfillment? Isn't it something which hurts all..including Caden who could have been put up in that situation...it hurts..

What a fantastic story! You paced the story well and allowed the characters to get to know each other which is what I think made it so satisfying at the end when Caden and Ritza finally decided they were an item. I loved their laidback in-the-middle-of-the-night interactions the best. No expectations, just each other's company. You captured it well. You've also created quite a crush-worthy character in Caden, which I think is probably due to 1. how he's not an Adonis like Brian, which can be sickening and off-putting, but that he's still quite good looking; 2. his very laid back "friendship" with Ritza and the hints you give the readers of the bitterness he feels about being rejected by her, but how he never lets that get in the way of their friendship. Such a big difference from male characters who act entitled and hurt about being rejected. Congratulations on a great story!

Aw, great story

What a wonderful story. I just found it. I like the pacing of the emotional realizations, and watching the maturation of the relationship. I feel at the end like Caden and Ritza are going to be solid. Honest, and grow together even more. As a reader, I really like leaving a story feeling that way. DSW

Oh my gosh I loved this so much :) great oneshot!

I thought this was a really sweet little story. I often find it hard for romance based one-shots to be believable when the two people meet and fall in love in the same go (even if it is 10k words!) but I thought you did a really good job with this one. I liked how the relationship developed, and I also liked the contrast to the "relationship" with Brian.

I LOVED IT! I wish it was longer but damn this story was just great!

Also, I just noticed... was Professor Sullivan named after Monsters Inc.,'s Sulley?
