I just wanted to stop by and say that I miss this story. I see that this story is on hiatus, but I love what you've written so far and I'm still eagerly waiting for you to write more for this again. Keep up the great work.

I think your story's pretty good. A quick and easy read. But, ignoring everything else other people might find wrong about it, there's just one thing that really set off the alarm bells in my head. In Chapter 4, you wrote "J.D. Salinger? Two words. Holden Kaufield." It's actually Holden CAULFIELD. I don't think anyone has pointed out this mistake yet. I just thought it'd be key to correct that, seeing as your main character is supposed to be someone who thinks very little of vacuous topics like clothes and cars but supposedly values poetry, English class and literature in general. Otherwise, good job so far! I'd read more if you posted more.

Oh. My. God. I must say, that this is just plain awesome. I mean, the idea is great, the characters are great and I definitely felt very embarrassed for Maddie. On multiple occasions. And I loved how you started off the chapter. 'Imagine... blah, blah, blah, now forget all that. This is what really went down.' Like my paraphrasing? Yeah, I'm random.

Really, that's what I love about this story. It's so atypical and unconventional I the absolutely greatest way that there really is no way to predict what exactly will happen next. You can tentively make a few predictions, and 15% might be right but... There really is no way. And I love that.

Your story also has so much... character(?). Madrid has the best voice. She's just all around cool, and, y'know, she's just... Great. I dunno. I just love her. I don't think anybody could not, no matter how hard they tried. It's great. Really.

This was a FREAKING FANTASTIC CHAPTER AND I'M SO FREAKIN GLAD THAT YOU UPDATED. *hugs* Seriously it was that amazing and I completely love this story. Everything from Maddie's close relationship with Rachel to LUCAS (holy crap why aren't there any adorable guys like him at MY school?), and to that crazy queen bee Marcie.
And this chapter! Holy pickles he almost asked her out. HE ALMOST ASKED HER OUT, and then they fell on top of each other, and now I'm wondering what will happen next. OH my gosh, I can't wait for Rachel's reaction to all this. But it also makes me wonder if she made a move on Aidan since she was a) horny and b) drunk :P

Favorite lines:
I kicked both of my feet up, resting them on the edge of the tub and leaned back against the wall. I started humming the lyrics to a song that been stuck in my head for most of the day and let my eyes close for a moment of peace. Then I realized that I was at some guys house, laying in his bathtub in nothing but shorts and my bra.

If only my mom could see me now.

Hehehe, this scene was just such a "she WOULD do that" sort of thing. I dunno, after this chapter I think I just loved Maddie's character even more...

"There is a girl in here!" I screamed, making my presence known to the boy who was going to the bathroom. "Please stop peeing while I am in the room and put your you know what away!"

Hahahaha oh boy :P
