I'm always struck by how you put so much power in so few words. The chapter was short, but it changed everything, didn't it? I kind of expected Nikolas to be involved, but that didn't diminish the shock and other emotions that went with it.

You definitely know how to hook a reader! Great job!

Oh man please do not wait to update this long again. I checked my email so much this past month for your update. And this was fantastic and totally worth the wait. Not gonna lie, I cried.

I knew it was Nicholas. I hated him from the beginning, and the fact that he stood to the side is meaningful I think. Maybe he feels guilt for what he did (locking Addin up?) but I doubt it.

Poor Addin. I feel so much pain for him. I wish I could wrap him in the biggest hug.

I wish Althea wasn't so cowardly. I mean I know she wants to preserve her rep, but still. She is still a little selfish in my mind. I wonder if she will confront Nic or wait for him to leave? I'm predicting the next chapter in multiple ways! Please if you ever get a moment, update. I'm in love with this.

OH BLOODY SH** Hope! NO WAY IT CAN'T BE LET ME DIE NOW! I atfirst thought maybe one of the men torturing Addin could have been Nicholas-I ADMIT I WAS WRONG-but then YOU JUST BLEW MY TORTURED MIND when Althea looked towards the horses AND GUESS WHAT SHE SAW-Nicholas! OMG now what is she going to do? She can't confront him with out blowing her secret and getting into trouble, so what in the world can and will she do? I will be honest and tell you tho I will try to be PATIENT because I do understand being busy and Dec. is crazy with holiday too but I WILL ALMOST GUARANTEE YOU that I AM NOT GOING TO BE PATIENT altho I will always wait for an update!

GREAT CHAPTER again Hope! I am beginning to really like Nicholas but I still WANT HER TO BE WITH Addin-they just seem to mesh better for me! I have to wonder if he is ever going to get out of that cage and now that the weather is changing, how is that going to affect her visits with him? HMMMM, quite an intriguing dilemma I have pictured here ! Well several chapters to get caught up on and curious to see what else is going to happen!

I love the how patient Althea is with her grandmother, I think that it is really beautiful. It takes a special kind of person to be that way and not get frustrated.

I have some theories: (I think about the outcome of your story a lot haha)

I think that Margery will come across Thea and Addin, but keep the secret. She will try to help and then fall for Mathias (because he will find out about Addin's fate, get mad, and do everything to help him).

Also, I think Nicholas is a wolf, and he came across Addin in an event that Addin does not remember, and then Nic blames the wolfness on Addin in order to keep himself from being locked away. That's why Addin does not understand his fate and it also explains Thea's dream. After all, Addin was in the cage when the wolf snatched Thea in the dream (I hope you don't mind me calling her Thea. I always give nicknames to characters...) Also, that's why the man who smirked at Addin could be Nicholas; all because this was his plan to keep from getting in trouble.

Gosh I wonder who is in the clearing. Addin's family? The Council? (To find out if Addin is dead yet) or Margery? It could be any of them! Gosh how dare you leave me in suspense.

Sorry if this was a poorly worded review. I just have so many thoughts. Please update asap. I'm holding my breath for the next chapter.

I love this story. Addin is so mysterious...Well, his story that is. Why would they lock him up? I bet Nicolas was the one who smirked at Addin! The way you have written him makes me distrust him...
