displacedfemale chapter 30 . 3/27/2013 I have really enjoyed reading this story. Such a shame that it's come to an end but it was a great journey. The characters were realistic and all served a purpose, there were no filler characters who just fogged up the plot by being pointless. The relationship between Iris and Sebastian, though fast paced, was one with all the ups and downs, frustrations and fascinations of a real life relationship which develops over years and years which made it great to read. There was drama and passion and family snideness (is that even a word?) and it was awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this, thanks for sharing your talent and work with us. |
displacedfemale chapter 28 . 3/27/2013 Oh wow! I'd never have gone for an ectopic pregnancy, if I'd guessed what was wrong with her for a month I don't think I'd have ever come up with that. This was a very dramatic chapter, but not in a cheesy way, it was dramatic but I think by having these almost jump scenes [like missing out the actual operation] makes it more realistic I think, stops it becoming too over the top. Yaaaay! Sebastian came back! So glad he did, when it just cut off in the first section for the second it took me to scroll down I thought you'd killed Iris or had her lose consciousness or something drastic. He said I love you too! He said it first as well which was lovely! Such a sad but beautiful chapter all in one go, awesome work. |
displacedfemale chapter 27 . 3/27/2013 Oh he left on a sour note! Always such a pain when you leave someone on a bad note, Iris is being kind of stubborn but I guess I probably would be in that instance too. No one wants to admit they love someone who is winding them up. I suspect that Iris is going to have something wrong with her appendix, I could be wrong though! Hopefully there's someone around to help though, not sure that Sarah will be massively helpful. |
displacedfemale chapter 6 . 3/26/2013 The chapters seem to end so fast! So glad I stumbled upon this when it was complete otherwise I'd be having a massive battle with my own impatience right now! Iris seems like one of those girls who is so down to earth and focused and clued in all the time but who then has a massive brain freeze and ends up doing something mega silly or daft. I'm not sure that SEbastian and Iris will be compatible to start with, they seem like a couple who will need a few fights and some work before they become good for each other. |
displacedfemale chapter 5 . 3/26/2013 Oh dear me! Sebastian is a bit of a quick mover! I wondered a little in the previous chapter what was meant by Sarah being the "only blood link" but took it to mean that perhaps his parents had died when he was young, like towards the end of high school and he'd fended for himself with family riches, but then I guess the kind of person he is is more consistent with the idea that he's worked hard for what he has and was without a family and as such is pretty full on and besotted with his daughter. Your characters have a real depth to them that I love but I'm kicking myself for only seeing their depth develop a chapter too late, I'm realising things that were mentioned or hinted at in chapter 3 when I get to the end of chapter 4 for example! I must work on my perceptive skills |
displacedfemale chapter 4 . 3/26/2013 Sarah seems like such a cute kid! I'm not sure why, probably due to what is perceived as the norm in society but I assumed that Sebastian only had part-time custody, like he had visitation weekends and such. I'm thinking that the 'need' Sebastian has is something to do with Sarah? but then I could be way off... perhaps that's too obvious and the trail was laid as a decoy to throw the reader off track, |
displacedfemale chapter 3 . 3/26/2013 Aah, not as uncomfortable a conversation as I was expecting, clever diversion with the radio from Iris. It appears that Sebastian is a little more intrigued by Iris than can be explained by a simple work/background check. When I first started reading this I was a little concerned that there seemed to be a tonne of characters who I would never be able to keep track of or remember the links between but now we're a few chapters in I'm seeing the number thin out a little and managing to keep track. The main characters so far, Iris, Sebastian and Carter read so easily, I think because they seem so realistic, you've done a great job. Usually richer people are written in stories in a way which makes them seem alien to the 'Average Joe' reader but that doesn't seem to be the case so far with your writing. |
