I'm digging this: "I flower, and consume my own pollen, so as not to waste the precious granules on dead-end winds. Something here is out of balance, but I don't hold the proper scales."

That is genius. I love how you use a diverse vocabulary, and the taste of assonance is fantastic. Also, the 'hard' sounds are very biting which I really like.
