I'm really enjoying this story. I'm from Australia, so I don't know much about Japanese or Canadian culture, so this story is all new and exciting to me, but I can't give any contructive critism.
Also, for someone whose first language isn't English, you write in English a lot better than a lot of natural English speakers I know.

Hey! I saw your story under general and decided to check it out.
First things first, I love how our protagonist doesn't immediately like our immigrant. I hate stories where the person immediately falls head over heels for the 'mysterious foreigner.' Immigrants aren't always welcomed immediately, and it adds a realistic touch to the story.
Second, I love how our immigrant doesn't act like the natives; she's proud to be American. She's not trying to blend in, and she doesn't bullshit around. Its unacceptable to sexually harass anyone in America, and she reinforces her status as immigrant.
Mostly, your writing style is just so good. This is the first of your stories I've read, and it really draws me in. I look forward to seeing more from you!
