I've never seen such an original (modern- because for the old guys a red rose was big news, lol!) poem that opens with a red rose! Generally I care a great deal for sense, but here I join with the red and the silver. The language in this poem is stunning- it's the kind I read aloud so I don't let my brain miss the sounds - the images playful yet strange. There's logic to it- almost Lewis Carroll like. I'm not even sure how to critique it, yet I find myself drawn to it. You take every trite concept of love and turn each one upside-down and inside-out into a sort of puzzle!
