I loved it, this is my 2nd time reading it, and it's just as sweet as the 1st. Good job :)

RedMonocle chapter 1 . 11/23/2012
I gushed over the letter at the beginning. Too cute, and you can really see Patrick's personality come through in that part. But I felt it might've helped to know more about why Patrick was mute. Was he born that way? Did something happen to him earlier in life that caused him to be this way? You seemed to be hinting that it might've happened somewhere during his life, because it wouldn't make sense if he NEVER looked up anything about his condition if he was born with it. I felt like the ending was pretty bittersweet, and because like I felt David was super insensitive in some of the things he said to Patrick. I wouldn't have stayed in a relationship like that for seven years if I had to put up with that, but at the same time it feels believable on a somewhat sinister subtext: I kinda see it as "Patrick loves David, and besides, it's not like anyone else will love a mute guy anyway." Overall, I feel the story is a bit touchy, but nicely written. Their relationship intrigues me, and it definitely has it's moments. (Sorry for rambling! Have a great day!)
BeeTheMagicUser chapter 1 . 10/26/2012
This was probably the cutest and sweetest thing I have ever read in my entire life. The idea for this story was amazing, and it was so beautifully written. You really did a fantastic job with this oneshot!
S.H. Marr chapter 1 . 10/26/2012
Honestly, I kind of find the whle idea of this insulting. Cute, sure, but insulting. If he was a parapalegic, would he not truly love David because he physically couldn't get up and walk over to him, or something? He can't freaking talk. Mutism is not a "flaw" to be overcome in a relationship. I find acceptance in these cases much sweeter.

I kind of wish there had been breaks betwen the scenes because they kind of all blur together and they really shouldn't. Also, even if Patrick refuses to research mutism, you should have so you can show it more realistically even if you don't explain it in exposition. There are a lot of things that can go wrong with speech and each one has a slightly different effect.
