When I read the summary, I thought this story would be totally stereotypical, but it isn't. I mean, the "new kid in school" thing isn't exactly new, but the characters are special and I really like Jake. He's tough and he's someone who is friends with all kinds of people. I also like that Spencer isn't unusual good looking and that you said you won't jump straight into love. I really enjoyed reading this story until now and I look forward to a next chapter. :)

despite the shortness of the chapters i am already in love with this story. its really nice that you're not going to add sexual abuse/rape on it. It's refreshing.

As for beta-reading I am avaliable. Also i can give you a few ideas if you want because i am already planning a story but i am currently procastinating.

First let me say I really appreciate the no mention and no description of rape or sexual abuse because I get so irritated that now-a-days its like no one can write a slash story without adding that kind of thing.

But other than my complete ranting breakdown I really think this is going to be a good story and I look forward to it ! )

(This is where a rant begins, skip it if u want, sorry but needed to get my frustrations out)

It's getting really disturbing and sick. It's not that I'm against people writing that in stories and some times you need a bit of drama but EVERYONE writes that now. I don't want to go thru and read 3 rape stories in a row. That's just sad and depressing and the people that has actually had this happen to them could be seriously effected by all the rape happening in all these stories. It makes you think what goes thru ppls minds like do you have nothing better to write? other than some individual going thru something of that degree? ALSO when ppl write these stories they do things like make the rape victim fall in love with the rapist! I wouldn't believe that crap at all unless it was something like Stockholm Syndrome! Some people write CONSTANT rape scenes like that makes the reader excited and happy to read. It doesn't. I've actually cried after reading stuff like that. Ugh I'm just sick of it!

(End of rant, again I'm sorry)
