That was an amazing story. And a happy ending. I was so worried because I read Parasite before this (going in a weird order here, bear with me) because, I swear, if everything here turns out terrible I will still love you but I will be so emotionally drained. I don't think I'll be able to survive if another story this long comes out and I have to waaaaaiiiiit. If these comments aren't any indication, allow me to spell out that I read things I like with an obsessive passion, and if I must wait even a week for another chapter, it physically pains me (this coming from a person who doesn't have an regular update schedule. Whoops).

Anyway, I love your work. Again, there's actual care and meticulous detail that goes into the relationships - it's not just smut and quick "They're, like, totally in love right now." There are sentimental things weaved in seamlessly, times that I want to just kill people then suddenly realize they're not that bad (the parents in the story, for me), and then pain, so much pain, and then it's resolved with so much fluff I could probably make a dozen of those giant teddy bear that Gordon gives Elizabeth.

I feel like you did a very excellent job at the references and renaming of things when it comes to the presumable source material- it is truly impressive. I like the personality Julian has- it's different than your run of the mill stories, which believe me is hard to find!

My dear friend Lapari! Okay so you know I love you and you're a wonderful friend, so I hope you don't mind if I give some criticism? I want to be honest with my review, and that includes some things that are not all praise, so please don't get angry K_K

Okay, first of all, 171 000 words. UM. WOW. THIS IS LONG. LIKE, REALLY LONG. IT'S REALLY IMPRESSIVE AND YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF CAUSE IT TAKES TIME AND DEDICATION TO FINISH A PIECE THIS LONG. Like holy crap, props to you. Your writing pace just astonishes me.

Next: Style. I like your style. Like, it's not spectacular, but it's not bad. It's good. I like it. You've got some good things going for you here. It works, but there were parts of it that I didn't think flowed well, and there were awkward bits in the phrasing, and parts where it wasn't super smooth. But considering you wrote this almost two years ago, it's impressive, especially given your age. I remember my writing when I was the same age as when you did this, and it was no where near as good! I didn't get good until a year or two before I started YAMOF, and to think that you're writing was this good two years ago? I can only imagine how much better you've gotten!

Your characterization was good. Loved Jules and Robert. It was easy to love them as a couple, as well as Benny and Tyler. There were some things that confused me - some of the decisions they made during the course of the story baffled me a bit, but overall, for such a long piece (and again, considering when this was written), it's good. Most of my qualms have to do with the end bits, but in the end, you still make it work out, and I'm so glad that Jules and Robert end up together! I am SUCH a sucker for long-lost lovers reunited... there's just something about the emotional resolution that gets to me every time.

I hope you'll let me read more of your stuff cause like seriously I'm excited now.

this was a great story. i was so happy when robert and julian got back together. i think my favorite character is julian. he was such a cutie pie and then he grows up to be this sharp, iron willed businessman. he literally counted the days until his reunion with robert. and his sexual impatience was adorable. a close second fav. was lee. he was so decisive and determined with what he wanted at such a young age. and i admire the fact he didnt seduce paul at an earlier age even though he loved him. i really like paul and lees story best i think. i know they arent ur primary pairing but i just love stories like that. that predestined, fate, soul mate type story. one of my fav. het. stories is Damia by anne mcaffrey. it was so awesome i fell in love with the guy character and named my car after him. so anyway. i like the one direction song u referenced to robert and julians relationship. and while i think the song u picked for juliens mother (vivienne) was good, i would like the darth vader theme best for her cuz she was such a bit*h. sorry for being so long-winded. this was great!

i really liked pauls story. i think he had good reasons to be so messed up, but im glad he eventually overcame his bitterness and found true love. i was a little worried at the cafe when paul wiped lees mouth that paul was not gonna be able to wait it out. but i was pleasantly surprised that he waited a very long time and he was not the initiator. i am so happy u included pauls story. excellent work.

really good chapter. cant help but hope that a love scene is on the horizon.

hmmm. really enjoyed the solo play in this chap. perhaps he is more gay than he even realizes...

great beginning. i am looking forward to getting more info on Mr no. 1. and i already like julian. i really like the creative way susan gave juilian a way to contact her. that is brilliant and a nice way to add character to her and the story.

Words cannot describe how hard I fell for this story! The plot was amazing, I really loved the development of it and I loved all of the characters and their maturation throughout the whole story.

Julian and Robert's relationship had me smiling on occasions and at other times, close to tears. I'm happy that Benny and Tyler worked out so successfully. And I really liked seeing the story from Paul's point of view; it gave justification to a lot of badly thought out/acted out actions... Plus I love Lee too, he just makes me smile so brightly!

All in all this was a magnificent story and I am so glad I found it! I enjoyed reading it with all my heart and as sad as I am to see it end, I am glad that it ended with such a good note.

It's sad that Julian and Robert can't have what Benny and Tyler have, even though they deserve it and would probably be wonderful parents (damn the media...grrr), overall the story is very sweet though. I love that you covered the "side characters" relationships throughout the main story line, but instead of them taking away from the main couple's story, I think it added more to it. I also think that the media coverage bits was a fantastic way to show what everyone has been doing without reading multiple chapters-short and very informative.

As for my favorite character: Hmmm...that's a hard one since I love all of the characters-each for a different reason, but all sweet in their own way. I suppose if I had to narrow it down it would probably be either Robert or Lee (Lee is just so innocent and sweet and it's amazing how Paul changes when he's around him).

Ah, Robert and julian - Romeo and Juliet, it just occurred to me... Clever ;P

How does this not have more reviews? This was so well done...the characterizations were perfect and while I got a bit confused at the changes in P. , it didnt matter because the plot was interesting and flowed somewhat throughout the story...that PaulxLee twist at the end? Genius. I always liked Paul as a character...he was just misunderstood..sorry for my long review but I just hard to commend you on a job well done.

Hmm.. This is intresting. What exactly is the plot of this story? The characters are a bit over dramatic and I can't helpt but cringe from time to time. I actually found it pretty funny when Julian called Robert "so young" when Julian is only a few months older than Robert. To be honest the fact that Julian and Robert are completely oblivious of there feelings for each other is irritating. Despite that this story is ok.
