Obviously John was shocked by the whole scene with Colleen being picked on. Oh well do love how he handled asking her to stay with him for six weeks. Also how about Sophia and her man. He's a scoundrel but we love him for it! Lol looking forward to the next chapter!

I love Sophia! So awesome of her to stand up for Colleen! I'm glad she asked Colleen for advice before going any further with Malcolm. I hope she follows the advice too.

John deserves the cold behavior from Colleen, she gave him at the end of this chapter. Is something going on in the back of his mind for him to hold back? I'm curious.
It was nice to not have this story go in fifth gear after the confession...Seems natural. Is there a storm on the way?

I also curious what kind of relationship Malcolm has with his "step"-father.

Oh man John failed big time! Men are so clueless lol. I read a book that referenced how the Irish were treated by the English and it broke my heart. You did a great job in calling our attention to this issue and of course to girls power over men. Loved it! Looking forward to the next chapter! Also to a possible chapter to the importance of writing? Lol just asking ;)

I hope John feels properly put in his place and will defend Colleen against Ms. Fullerton in the future, as it seems most likely that Ms. Fullerton will continue to puff herself about.

Hey, nice chappy. I think you are right that the identity should have been revealed in an emotional moment, but I think you could have drawn that scene out a bit for more impact. But nice going so far.

CHARLES?! Oh charlie how could you ever do that?! But, I have to say, I'm slightly happy that the murderer is not Malcolm, because that would really be horrible for Sophie. But, I suppose Charlie had a reason to do it. This was a great way to show who the murderer was. The emotional moment really brought everything in, and I feel really bad for Charlie with the way Anne is treating him. AHHHHHH, John and Colleen are so friggin' cute! Oh why can't colleen see that John is different? :( but, hopefully she'll realize soon! I can finally see the romance unfolding, and I can't wait to see what will happen in the next chapter. Malcolm and Sophie, probably? who knows. you are truly an amazing writer and i'm obsessed with this story. please, please, PLEAASEE update sooN!

Oh my...I so hoped it wouldn't be Charlie. I can so understand his feeling that Elizabeth left him, because she did. That's how I felt about it too...But still, how could he kill that girl?...My feelings about this are sooo conflicted!
