'Frederick to acquire the baronet...' baronetcy -the rank and dignity of a baronet. -and read Michael Korda's bio of T. E. Laurence for a discussion of the problems of bastards inheriting or a baronet ducking out of the title. Remember a patent of nobility is an act of Parliament, and cannot be adjusted to suit a parent's whims.
