Very interesting poem.
I really liked some of the similes you used (like a cage, like a prison). And what you said in your last line was very true. Fear keeps us from making stupid, sometimes dangerous mistakes, but it can also hold us back. A very interesting look at fear. I enjoyed reading this.

Lovelovelove that last line. So true. I'm afraid of floors. No joke. I can't walk on floors without shoes (socks are okay, but not really). Well, I am physically able to, and I have done it before, but I do my best to have as little contact with the floor as possible. It's a little bit of a germaphobe thing, but also a flat surface thing. Fear. No I 'aint 'fraid of it er nuthin' I jus' don' like 'em.
